So, he’s currently the co-founder, President, and Chief Business Officer over at Armilla AI, a Toronto-based company that’s all about AI/LLM assessment and warranty solutions. Karthik jumped into this world in 2020 and got into Y Combinator’s Winter 2022 batch with Armilla, which is a huge stamp of approval.

But his story didn’t start yesterday. He’s got a solid background before this, he was at Deloitte, leading the Decision Science, Cognitive, and IoT Analytics practice. Basically, he was helping big companies and regulators figure out how to use AI smartly and responsibly. Before Deloitte, he was at Element AI as VP and Head of Industry Solutions & Advisory. There, he was the guy leading go-to-market strategies for financial institutions and regulators worldwide, so he’s been navigating AI in the real world, not just theory.

And get this, he’s also a serial startup guy. Co-founded Blu Trumpet as CTO and Gallop Labs as CEO, plus he’s held leadership roles at Hatch Labs and Xtreme Labs. Dude’s been around the block, building and scaling startups, learning what works and what’s bullshit.

On top of that, he’s super educated, has an MBA from Ivey Business School, a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, and a B.E. in Electronics and Communications from NIT Tiruchirappalli. Basically, he’s got the technical chops and the business smarts.
