Meet Stephen Caudill
You absolutely need to hear the story of Stephen Caudill. This guy’s the real deal in the startup game. Dude’s been around the block, crushing it in tech and product for over a decade. Started out at homes.com as a team lead, so he’s got that classic web roots. Then he jumped into the scene with maccontrol as a Lead System Engineer, cutting his teeth on systems and making things tick.
But what’s crazy is his hustle doesn’t stop there. He’s been involved with a bunch of companies, Ex Dolo, Municipal Code Corp, JamLab, Outpace Systems, Hashrocket, and more. Each stop showing he’s got that itch for building and improving stuff. Like, he’s not just riding the wave; he’s creating new ones.
Fast forward a bit, he co-founded Suiteness, a hotel booking platform, back in 2015. This was huge because they got into Y Combinator in 2016, which is basically the startup Olympics. That’s where he proved he’s got what it takes, building something expandable, original, and legit. As CTO, he led the charge, making that platform slick and user-friendly. It was a big win, showing he’s got the vision and the technical chops.

Talk to herAfter Suiteness, he didn’t stop. He took on roles at Reify Health as a Staff Engineer and at Guaranteed Rate as a Software Engineering Manager. Basically, he’s been leading teams, rewriting systems, making sure tech is on point. Led a major data transformation at Outpace Systems too, that’s the kind of stuff that’s not glamorous but key, and he crushed it.
Then, in 2022, he jumped into the crypto/web3 space with Origami, his current gig as co-founder. This guy is always staying ahead of the curve, thinking about the future, pushing into new tech territories. You can tell he’s driven by a genuine passion for building, innovating, and not bullshit. He’s got that “start something, fix something, make it better” mindset that’s rare.
What’s his story? It’s basically a nonstop grind, learning, building, leading, and doing it all because he loves tech and creating value. His process screams motivation: he’s not in it for fame, he’s in it to solve problems, to disrupt, to make an impact. Starting companies, leading teams, jumping into new tech, he’s all about pushing boundaries and making shit happen.
Bottom line: Stephen Caudill is that tech founder who’s been through it all, kept changing, and now is shaping the future with Origami. Dude’s the real deal, no bullshit, just pure hustle and passion.
