Living for Conor Lee

Time to appreciate Conor Lee – this guy’s a total startup machine. Like, he jumped into the game straight outta college with a real passion for building shit that actually works. Started with a background in biology and poli sci at Santa Clara, so he’s got that nerdy, analytical side but also the hustle and grind. Before tech, he was deep in political campaigning, doing lobbying and all that high-stakes stuff, which probably gave him some serious street smarts and thick skin.

Then, he jumps into the startup world and doesn’t stop. His first big move? TellFi, a Google Voice for biz, part of YC’s Winter ’11 batch. That’s where he really cut his teeth, figuring out how to build products that solve real problems and scale. Not long after, he founded HipLead, this was all about outbound sales and lead gen for B2B, helping companies crush their outreach game. Dude understands the power of personalization and automation before it was even trendy.

Fast forward, he gets even deeper into SaaS and sales tech with Personas, his current gig. It’s a platform that helps sales teams get personal at scale, like, he’s really innovating how businesses connect with customers. The fact that he’s a YC alum again just shows he’s got that entrepreneurial DNA. He’s not just messing around; he’s out here building tools that actually matter.

Talk to her

But he’s not just about products. Conor’s also a mentor at GrowthX Academy, sharing what he’s learned, and he’s been involved with a bunch of other orgs, Joshua Tree Media, AIM Conference, The Edison Group, basically, he’s plugged into the startup and tech scene at every level. He’s seen the good, the bad, and the bullshit, and he’s still pushing forward.

What’s wild about him? His process screams passion for solving real problems, whether it’s streamlining sales, doing B2B outreach, or trying to make communication simpler with TellFi. He’s the kind of guy who jumps into new tech, learns fast, and then turns that knowledge into companies that actually get traction.

Bottom line? Conor’s the real deal. He’s proof that if you’re relentless and love solving problems, you can jump from politics to SaaS and crush it. He’s a serial entrepreneur who keeps pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, and honestly, I think he’s just getting started.
