Grant Shaddick

Y’all gotta know about Grant Shaddick, this guy’s the real deal in the startup world. Dude’s from Auckland, New Zealand, but his story is all about jumping into the deep end and crushing it. He started out in hospitality, probably pouring pints and dealing with all sorts of crazy shit, but he got bored and jumped into tech, no cap.

He moved all the way to Amsterdam to work at Bynder, a legit company, and that’s where he started messing around with Kopie.io, a design collab app for writers and designers. That thing was so good, InVision came in and scooped it up. So now Grant’s part of the InVision fam, working as a product manager, but even then, he’s already cooking up his next big move.

While at InVision, him and his co-founder came up with Tella, a super fresh startup all about screen recording and video editing for creators and businesses. They saw the power of video, knew it was the future, and jumped into Y Combinator in 2020 to really make it happen.
