This is Peretz Partensky

Meet your new inspiration Peretz Partensky. This guy’s the real deal, YC alum from W13, serial entrepreneur, and a straight-up biotech and tech nerd turned venture pro. He’s the kind of dude who jumps into whatever fires him up and crushes it.

He kicked things off in the startup world with Sourcery, a B2B platform for food industry payments and logistics, which he co-founded during YC. That thing blew up, raised 11 million, and got bought out. Classic move, build, scale, sell. After that, he didn’t sit back. Instead, he jumped into the biotech scene with ImmuneBridge, where he’s now CEO. They’re working on allogeneic immunotherapies for cancer, whole, modern stuff that could change the game in cancer treatments.

But it’s not just about building companies, Peretz is also deep in the investment side. He’s a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, focusing on healthcare and life sciences. Basically, he’s the guy spotting the future trend in biotech and giving startups the money and guidance they need to grow. Dude’s got a nose for innovation.

His background? It’s wild. Ph.D. in biophysics from UCSF, but he’s also got a MPhil in European Literature from Cambridge (yeah, he’s diverse), and a BA in Physics, Math, and English from Brandeis. He’s bounced around Peking University, Marine Biological Laboratory, the Linux Fund, and Fermilab, basically, he’s been everywhere doing all kinds of research and academic stuff.

Living in Oakland now, he’s all about healthcare, life sciences, and making a real impact. What’s clear is he’s driven by curiosity, a love for solving hard problems, and a desire to push tech and biotech forward. His process shows he’s not just in it for the hype, he genuinely wants to change lives, whether through startups or investing.

Bottom line: Peretz is someone who’s been at the intersection of science, tech, and entrepreneurship his whole life. He’s the guy who builds the future, not just talks about it. No Cap, he’s one of those rare folks who’s got the brains, the hustle, and the heart to make a difference.
