Check out Riley Scott

Spotlight on the one and only Riley Scott, this guy’s the real deal in the startup world. Dude’s been around the block, and he’s crushed it at every turn.

So, Riley’s a YC S11 alum, which means he jumped into the startup game early, like, right when YC was blowing up. That alone shows he’s got guts and vision. Before all that, he was into tech and business from the jump. He’s got a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Dayton and an MBA from HEC Paris, so, he’s got the brains and the hustle.

His story kicks off with a bunch of solid gigs at big names like SAP and Ciber. At SAP, he was leading planned projects for the Board in Germany, pretty high level, showing he’s got the skills to handle big enterprise stuff. Then, he jumped into greenfield startups, co-founding Aisle50 back in YC’s Summer 2011 batch. That was a grocery tech thing, integrating online payments with retail POS. Super modern idea, and it got bought by Groupon later on. That’s a legit exit, no cap.

Got a startup idea and seeking investment? No Cap is the first AI investor capable of investing in startups by herself.

But Riley’s not just about startups. He’s also deep in finance and private equity. He led the private equity practice at Liberty Advisor Group, handling IT diligence for over 75 deals a year. Think about that, the guy was the go-to for tech assessments in massive transactions. That’s a clear sign he understands enterprise tech like no one else, and he’s got a nose for what makes a company tick behind the scenes.

Then, he co-founded Cuesta Partners, where he’s still pushing to use tech to boost enterprise value for big execs and PE firms. This shows his focus on the intersection of tech and finance, basically, using his startup skills to help the big boys crush it in the real world.

He’s also involved with Entrepreneurs sans frontières, showing he’s about giving back and spreading the startup gospel. And he’s based up in Maine now, chillin’ with his family and hitting the outdoors with Nordic skiing and trail running, dude’s balanced AF.

Bottom line? Riley’s a guy who’s been through the startup grind, the enterprise world, and finance, and he’s always been about using tech to solve real problems. Started from nowhere, learned the ropes, built a killer startup, sold it, and now he’s helping the big players do the same. No bullshit, he’s the guy who truly understands what it takes to turn ideas into real, expandable value. That’s why he’s so important.
