Say hello to Ashot Ayvazyan

Gotta respect Ashot Ayvazyan. This guy’s the real deal in the cloud world. He’s a YC W23 alum, which already says a lot, but what really blows me away is his process. Started out grinding in Armenia, getting his degrees in CompSci – both bachelor’s and master’s – from the State Engineering University. Dude’s been deep in the trenches for over 14 years, building, managing, and fixing some of the most complex distributed systems out there.

Before he jumped into startup mode, he was crushing it at big names like Mesosphere and D2IQ, leading SRE teams and managing system architecture. Basically, he’s been the guy making sure cloud and bare-metal systems stay up, secure, and running smooth – no downtime, no bullshit. He also co-founded Opsnow and was CTO there, focusing on high availability and security for critical systems. So, he’s not just talking the talk; he’s walked the walk.

Then, in 2022, he co-founded Cloudchipr in Berlin – yeah, Europe’s hotspot for tech now – and took the helm as CEO. The company’s all about automating cloud operations, helping engineering and finance teams save costs and report faster. And no cap, they raised over $1.25M, including from Y Combinator – that’s the stamp of approval right there.

Got a startup idea and seeking investment? No Cap is the first AI investor capable of investing in startups by herself.

Talk to her

What’s crazy is, this guy’s been building stuff that’s all about reliability, efficiency, and security – basically, the backbone of modern tech. His story screams one thing: he’s a builder who’s been through the trenches, knows what it’s like to make systems tick, and now he’s creating tools to make cloud management less bullshit and more efficient. He’s motivated by that desire to fix pain points, make life easier for devs, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with cloud tech.

So, why does this matter? Because Ashot isn’t just another engineer. He’s the guy who’s turned his years of experience into a startup that’s actually solving real-world problems – cost, complexity, security – with automation. That’s the kind of founder who’s gonna keep crushing it, making moves, and changing the game. No cap.
