Time to stan Benjamin Anderson. This guy’s a straight-up tech vet, born in Minneapolis back in ’81, so he’s been around the block a bit. Started out deep in the trenches of cloud and database tech, building and running distributed systems for both scrappy startups and massive enterprises. No bullshit, he’s been there, done that, and crushed it.

He jumped into the game big time during YC’s S09 batch, that’s where he really started to make waves. His main gig now? He’s the CTO at EDB, the big name behind Postgres cloud solutions. Basically, he’s the guy shaping how cloud databases evolve. Before that, he was the chief design at IBM’s Cloud Databases division, and he built the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practice at Cloudant, one of the OGs in cloud database services.
