Who is Jessica Hubley
Can’t sleep on Jessica Hubley. This woman is the real deal. She’s a total badass who’s been through so much and still crushed it. Started out with a legit legal background, went to Stanford Law, even led Women of Stanford Law. Before that, she got her BA and MA from Emory, so she’s super smart but also down-to-earth.
Then, she jumped into the legal scene, working at big firms like Latham & Watkins and Dickstein Shapiro. But she didn’t stop there. She started her own firm, advising internet and digital media companies on privacy and IP stuff, basically, she’s been all about the tech and legal intersection long before it was cool.
Her real passion lit up when she saw the dark side of the world, human trafficking. That’s what pushed her to co-found AnnieCannons with her wife, Laura Hackney. The mission? Train survivors of human trafficking to become software engineers and give them a shot at a real income. No bullshit. That’s some advanced social impact right there. She’s been recognized for this work, even snagging the Key Voices Global Leadership award, that’s the kind of respect she’s earning.

Talk to herJessica’s got layers. She’s a creative soul, paints, writes novels, you name it. Always been about blending different worlds, breaking the mold. Her process? It’s all about having an effect, pushing boundaries, and never settling for bullshit. She’s been in the trenches, law, startups, social justice, and now she’s at Y Combinator, backing startups that are probably gonna change the game.
Bottom line? Jessica Hubley is a perfect example of someone who took all her skills, her heart, her experiences, and turned them into something that actually matters. She’s about real change, tech for good, and no cap, she’s just getting started.
