Can’t sleep on Joshua Duggan. This guy’s a straight-up hustler and a legit mover in the startup and finance game. He’s Canadian, but his story is all about jumping into the thick of things and making moves.

So, he started his career back in the day, around 2008, doing the whole analyst thing at Terra Prima Partners, then moved on to Belair Capital Markets, where he was all about corporate finance and investor relations. Basically, he was helping companies talk to their investors, manage shareholder stuff, and crush planned communications. That’s where he cut his teeth, learning how to connect the dots between tech, money, and people.

Fast forward a bit, and he jumps into Kingsdale Advisors in 2010. This is a big deal, Kingsdale is one of Canada’s top shareholder services firms. He climbs the ranks from Asset Reclamation to Director of Client Management, then VP of Operations. During his time there, he was part of turning Kingsdale into a major player in shareholder advisory. Basically, he’s in the trenches making sure companies and investors are on the same page. But Joshua doesn’t play it safe. In 2018, he co-founded BHRD, aka “Be Heard,” a YC-backed startup from S18. The goal? Helping public companies get their message out to investors better. It’s like he took everything he learned in finance and investor relations and built a platform to give companies a voice. Sadly, that one’s inactive now, but it’s proof he’s always jumped into the startup scene, trying to shake up old-school methods with tech.

He’s also dipped into other ventures, like being a planned advisor at Bhang Inc. in 2018, and in 2020, he co-founded Keasy, a real estate tech firm. The guy’s got that entrepreneurial itch, always looking for new ways to innovate.

More recently, he’s stepped into the tech side of things in mineral exploration, since 2021, he’s VP of Corporate Development & IR at GoldSpot Discoveries, which is all about using tech to find minerals faster. He’s now blending finance, tech, and resource exploration, talk about a versatile dude.

And on top of all that, he’s the COO and Chair of the MAB (Market Advisory Board) at CEO.CA, one of Canada’s biggest stock market communities and apps. He’s out here making sure retail investors and traders get the info they need, basically helping democratize investing.
