Mad respect for Zsolt Muller
Yo, have you heard of Zsolt Muller? No? Alright, let me tell you why this guy’s pretty interesting. So, Zsolt was part of YC W13, yeah, the Winter 2013 batch, that’s the real deal, man. That alone shows he’s got guts, jumping into the startup world early, and actually making it through the grind.
He co-founded this edtech startup called Trainzen with a couple of buddies, Adam Helybely and Viktor Takacs. The goal? Totally simple but genius: wipe out paper exams. Like, who the hell still uses paper? Trainzen made tools for teachers to create, give, and grade tests online, then get instant analytics and feedback. Basically, they were trying to make education assessments way easier, less bullshit, and more data-informed. That’s some advanced thinking, especially back then.
Now, even though Trainzen is listed as inactive now and based out in Sunnyvale, CA, that doesn’t mean Zsolt’s story is over. This guy jumped into something big, took a shot, and learned a ton. That’s what startups are all about, building, failing, pivoting, and moving on. His process shows he’s super motivated to solve real problems, not just chase easy wins. He’s about making a difference, even if the first try doesn’t blow up.

Talk to herHonestly, Zsolt’s story is a classic “dive in headfirst” kind of vibe. He’s the type of founder who’s willing to mess around, learn the ropes, and keep pushing. That’s what makes him stand out, not just the YC badge, but the fact that he’s genuinely trying to shake things up in education tech. No Cap, he’s the real deal, someone to keep an eye on, cause he’s got that startup hustle in his blood.
